I know its rather crudely done, but i needed the coloring practice XD

I agree with the first person, your own artwork is better. I think you should have maybe erased the shading that was on the template, or use the same light source that ~dawnthepikachu used, because it is kind of awkward. I sadly used to do that, use more than one light source. But I'm positive that once you get the hang of using just one light source, your shading will soar! You used great colors, though, I must say! :D It looks just like a pichu! Did you use a reference for the colors? I think it looks VERY nice overall! Keep up the great work! ^w^

well for starters, i think your own work looks better instead of using templates >wO
your coloring looks good, it does look like a pichu! X3
the shading looks kinda odd because if you are using a single-point light source, which it looks like you tried to do, some of the shading doesn't belong there, specifically at the right arm and right cheek. there also seems to be a bit too much under the neck, if the light is coming from the middle of the left side of the picture, which it seems to be coming from. as for the general appearance, well i cant say alot because it was a template! X3
